Softball Recap: New London Takes a Loss

New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ledyard Colonels, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, with their most recent defeat being a 27-0 loss back in April.

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Ledyard, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, New London will square off against Woodstock Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Whalers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Centaurs have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Ledyard, they will challenge Killingly at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
