Softball Recap: Heppner/Ione Wins Going Away Against Oakland

Heppner/Ione barely beat Oakland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Heppner/Ione was the clear victor by a 17-2 margin over Oakland on Tuesday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Oakers, too.

Heppner/Ione has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs this season. As for Oakland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Heppner/Ione has already played their next match, a 9-3 win against Knappa on the 26th. As for Oakland, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Umpqua Valley Christian at 4:30 p.m. on April 4.
