Recap: Hunt Warriors vs. South Johnston Trojans

After a string of four wins, the Hunt Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 53-45 to South Johnston. Hunt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as South Johnston apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Hunt's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ti'asia Taylor, who scored 21 points along with three steals, and Gracelynn Wolzen who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds. Taylor hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Aiyana Harrison, who scored nine points.

Hunt now has a losing record at 10-11. As for South Johnston, their win bumped their record up to an identical 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunt will challenge West Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hunt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for South Johnston, they will head out on the road to face off against East Wake at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. South Johnston is facing East Wake at the right time seeing as East Wake is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
