Recap: King Wolves vs. Santiago Sharks

The King Wolves pushed their score all the way to 66 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 74-66 to Santiago. King was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Santiago apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Justin Brayard, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathias Tinker, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

King's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Santiago, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King will take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 contests -- so hopefully King likes a good challenge. As for Santiago, they will head out on the road to take on Norco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norco is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
