Basketball Game Preview: Basic Wolves vs. Green Valley Gators + How To Watch

Basic hasn't had much luck against Green Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Gators at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Basic strolled past Pinecrest Academy Cadence with points to spare, taking the game 50-33.

Mia Frias produced another solid effort dropping a double-double with 26 points and 11 steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiara Tucker, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Green Valley didn't have too much trouble with Sports Leadership & Management on Tuesday as they won 34-20. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gators.

Green Valley's win came from a few key players that Basic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tabitha Bwakamba, who put up nine points.

Basic's record is now 12-10. As for Green Valley, their record now sits at 9-15.

Basic got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 against Green Valley by a conclusive 52-30 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
