Recap: Manor New Tech vs. Jarrell Cougars
Manor New Tech fell victim to the Jarrell Cougars''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Cougars on the road and fell 55-0. Manor New Tech has struggled against Jarrell recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Christian Salazar threw for 60 yards on a of 11 attempts. Detrick Larry was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards.
Jarrell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JaMarion Nibblett, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Nibblett was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Rodriguez, who threw for 171 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Manor New Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Jarrell, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Manor New Tech will take on Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Navarro is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Jarrell, they will square off against Lago Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
