NORTH BERGEN, N.J. - In spite of trailing
New Rochelle (N.Y.) 20 points,
North Bergen (N.J.) surged back to grab a 21-20 win over
New Rochelle (N.Y.) Saturday.
The Huguenots pulled ahead on a rushing touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 20-0. The Bruins took the lead for good with a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, North Bergen still trailed by 20 points going into the fourth quarter. But 21 points in the fourth helped NB pull out the victory.
New Rochelle missed two extra point attempts in the loss.
Miguel Gomez stood out for the Bruins in the win. The senior threw two touchdowns.

Wjhante Holden played well. The senior halfback ran for one touchdown.
The defeat comes as a step back for New Rochelle, which notched a 13-0 victory over John Jay in its previous outing.
North Bergen (5-2) will play a Hudson County - National game against St. Peter's Prep next week. The Marauders will bring a record of 5-1 into the meeting.
