Volleyball Recap: Chautauqua Lake Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chautauqua Lake had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fredonia Hillbillies by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Chautauqua Lake had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-7.

Jeanine Group paced Chautauqua Lake's offense, picking up 13 kills. Group got some help from Karagan Fairbank and her 36 assists. Nolianna Paddock controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Chautauqua Lake's victory bumped their record up to 24-7-1. As for Fredonia, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Coming up, Chautauqua Lake will venture away from home to square off against Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fredonia, they will host Falconer at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
