Basketball Recap: Lower Richland Comes Up Short

Lower Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-30 heartbreaker at the hands of the Darlington Falcons. The game marked the Diamond Hornets' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lower Richland's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Darlington, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

Lower Richland will challenge Crestwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 contests -- so hopefully Lower Richland likes a good challenge. As for Darlington, they will square off against Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
