Little Kanawha recap October 1, 2013
Williamstown added to the longest winning streak in Little Kanawha this week by beating Ravenswood, 21-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Yellowjackets.
Calhoun lost to Tyler 43-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Doddridge County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. David Lipscomb threw for 117 yards and Jarrod Sandy had 92 yards receiving. On the ground Wyatt Ford contributed 105 yards.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Lipscomb and Sandy proved tough for Ritchie County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
6-foot-2 quarterback Austin Cunningham of Gilmer County is the league leader in passing yards this season with 644. He has also thrown 8 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Colby Brode. The St. Marys star has 10 catches for 283 yards.
