Volleyball Game Preview: Argo Argonauts vs. Lemont Lemont HS

The Argo Argonauts will challenge the Lemont Lemont HS at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Argo is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 28th on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past Stagg 2-1.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Argo got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 24-26, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Lemont sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Richards on Tuesday.

Lemont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-16.

Lemont's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Argo, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Argo skirted past Lemont 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Argonauts repeat their success, or do the Lemont HS have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
