St. Ursula Academy won against Boone County on Thursday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-4 margin over the Taylor Yellowjackets. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

O Basil spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on J Booth, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. A Bunner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Ursula Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only managed four hits.

St. Ursula Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Taylor, they moved to 7-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

St. Ursula Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Mercy McAuley on the 28th. As for Taylor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Indian Hill on the 28th.
