Basketball Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss

Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lutheran of the 61-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2019.

St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Key out in front who went 6 of 14 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Key a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of JohnPaul Gunn, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-15.

Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-44 loss against Calvary Lutheran on the 8th. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-36 win against Chamois on the 8th.
