Football Game Recap: Metcalfe County vs. Calloway County

After having lost a blowout to Murray in their previous game, Calloway County was happy to find some success on Friday. Calloway County snuck past Metcalfe County with a 19-14 win. Metcalfe County can consider this payback for the 7-26 loss they dealt Calloway County the last time the teams encountered one another.

Calloway County's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 16 points in the first half. Metcalfe County came up with 8 to make it 16-8 heading into the break. Calloway County were outperformed in the second half 3-6 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the contest. The victory bumped their record up to 0-1. The defeat dropped Metcalfe County's record to 0-2.

Calloway County are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Marshall County next week at 7:00 PM. Metcalfe County will look to defend their home turf next week against Adair County at 7:00 PM.
