Basketball Recap: Westampton Tech Comes Up Short

Westampton Tech suffered their biggest loss since January 18, 2024 on Monday. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of Trenton Catholic Academy. The Panthers have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.

Westampton Tech's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob McCollum and Alex Jeanty. McCollum went 6 for 11 to rack up 15 points and six boards, while Jeanty went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points. Those 15 points gave McCollum a new career-high. Jayden Alexander also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

Westampton Tech's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westampton Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pemberton at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Westampton Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, they will welcome Medford Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
