Volleyball Recap: Woodgrove Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Woodgrove had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Freedom Eagles on Monday. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Woodgrove started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17.

The win got Freedom back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Woodgrove will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against South Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on September 3. As for Freedom, they are taking a road trip to square off against Loudoun County at 7:00 p.m. on September 2.
