Volleyball Recap: South Newton Rebels vs. Faith Christian Eagles

South Newton lost against Faith Christian back in November of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rebels took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Newton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

Jada Cripe paced South Newton's offense, picking up six kills. Cripe got some help from Lindsay Lowe and her 11 assists. Lowe was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

South Newton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Faith Christian, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, South Newton will be playing at home against Tri-County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Rebels' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Faith Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Covington at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
