West Plains posted their closest win since March 22nd on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Poplar Bluff Mules, sneaking past 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Zizzers in their matchups with the Mules: they've now won three in a row.

The win got West Plains back to even at 5-5. As for Poplar Bluff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Plains will challenge Mt. Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Zizzers are facing the Mountaineers at the right time seeing as the Mountaineers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Poplar Bluff, they will head out to face off against Eureka at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
