Routt Catholic extended their postseason success on Saturday against Brown County. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Hornets. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brady Turner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Talon Thompson and Jacob Brown did most of the damage at the plate: Thompson went 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs, while Brown went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Brown a new career-high. Jace Lautemann was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The win (which was Routt Catholic's third in a row) raised their record to 21-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Brown County, their loss dropped their record down to 22-10.

As of now, neither Routt Catholic nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
