There's no place like home for Santa Fe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the Manzano Monarchs by a score of 8-4 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Demons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jessi Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leah Gutierrez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Rhiannon Romero, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Santa Fe's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12. As for Manzano, they dropped their record down to 5-16 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Santa Fe beat the Monarchs by a score of 8-2 later that day.
