After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Long Reach, Northwest was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Whitman Vikings 6-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Northwest's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Butler, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Northwest now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Whitman, they moved to 6-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge Churchill at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Whitman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wootton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
