Baseball Recap: Lucy Beckham Comes Up Short

Lucy Beckham suffered their closest loss since March 29, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Stratford Knights by a score of 6-4. The Bengals just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Kingston Kolb made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Tommy Byrne also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lucy Beckham's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Stratford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-2 record this season.
