Baseball Recap: Great Bend Extends Winning Streak to Five

Great Bend waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Rose Hill Rockets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Koehn Ribordy made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Daxton Minton and Eli Contreras did most of the damage at the plate: Minton went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Contreras went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those four hits gave Minton a new career-high.

Great Bend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Great Bend's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Rose Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Great Bend has already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against McPherson on the 21st. As for Rose Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-4 win against Emporia on the 21st.
