Basketball Game Preview: Fairdale Bulldogs vs. South Oldham Dragons

The Fairdale Bulldogs will square off against the South Oldham Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Fairdale strolled past Holy Cross with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Oldham). They enjoyed a cozy 101-85 victory over Madison Southern on Thursday. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons, who have now won four games in a row.

South Oldham's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.9 points over those games. As for Fairdale, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.
