Recap: Tooele Buffaloes vs. Morgan Trojans

The Tooele Buffaloes lost against the Morgan Trojans back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Tooele's tough 67-44 defeat to the Trojans might stick with them for a while. Tooele has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tooele's loss came despite strong showings from Crew Lewis and Ethan B rogers. Lewis went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points and 2 assists, while B rogers dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.

He wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Tooele were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. This was only their tenth loss (out of 14 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Tooele's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Morgan, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tooele will stay at home for another game and welcome the Colts at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Cottonwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Buffaloes in Utah (the Colts are ranked 35th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 115th). As for Morgan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
