Ingrid Lorton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Kidd, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Madison Sepeda and Rory Weizenegger certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Sepeda scored 14 points along with five steals, while Weizenegger scored six points. That was a full 42.4% of Greeley Central's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Centaurus' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16. As for Greeley Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
Centaurus will head out on the road to take on Longmont at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Centaurus is coming into the game with five straight wins on the road, so Longmont is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Greeley Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Greeley Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
