Ally Snyder Game Report: vs Springfield

Marple Newtown had to settle for second on Wednesday, but Ally Snyder sure wasn't going down easily. Snyder made a splash, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Springfield back in March, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Snyder has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Snyder and Marple Newtown will face off against Radnor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Snyder's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Fightin' Tigers' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Snyder and the Fightin' Tigers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Thursday's match.
