Basketball Recap: South Vermillion Comes Up Short

South Vermillion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Marshall Lions, falling 46-9. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 52-12 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Vermillion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Vermillion will venture away from home to challenge Cloverdale at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marshall will take on North Central in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Central will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Marshall surely won't give up without a fight.
