Football Recap: Rio Mesa Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rio Mesa was the 40-28 winner over Camarillo when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 22-14 to the Scorpions on Friday.

Alec Fontyn threw for 164 yards on 14 of 26 attempts. Nate Warren-Lewis was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards. On the ground, Juan Munoz rushed for 33 yards and one TD.

Shane Feller had a dynamite game For Camarillo., rushing for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 200 rushing yards gave Feller a new career-high.

Rio Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Camarillo, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
