After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calvert, Danbury was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the St. Mary Central Catholic Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Danbury's got stronger as the match went on, holding St. Mary Central Catholic to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-12.

Danbury's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for St. Mary Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
