Basketball Recap: Noah Stein and JD Dill Secure Win for Christ Covenant

Christ Covenant won the last time they faced Gramercy Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Christ Covenant Spartans snuck past the Gramercy Christian Warriors with a 67-63 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Leading Christ Covenant to victory were JD Dill and Noah Stein. Dill dropped a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds, while Stein posted 24 points and three steals. The game was Stein's eighth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Bagnal, who earned eight points.

Gramercy Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Bowling, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points. What's more, Bowling also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Diego De Hoyos was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

The win got Christ Covenant back to even at 12-12. As for Gramercy Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-15.

As of now, neither Christ Covenant nor Gramercy Christian have any future games scheduled.
