Recap: Itawamba Agricultural Indians vs. Grenada Chargers
The third road match was the charm for the Itawamba Agricultural Indians, as they earned their first road win of the season. They skirted past Grenada 71-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Grenada still got an impressive performance from Kelton Jones, who scored 27 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Jones' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Howard, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds.
Itawamba Agricultural's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Grenada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Itawamba Agricultural will face off against Shannon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grenada, they will head out on the road to face off against North Panola at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Panola's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests.
