Greenhills had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They blew past the Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets 12-3. The Gryphons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.

Charlie Rich looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Josh Dorfman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Jeremiah Bowman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Greenhills pushed their record up to 32-6 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Detroit Country Day, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12.

Looking ahead, Greenhills will look to defend their home field on Friday against Plymouth Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Detroit Country Day, they will head out on the road to take on Troy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
