Volleyball Recap: Isabelle Guinn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Centennial over Borah + How To Watch

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Borah Lions. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Centennial ultimately came up short, they really made Borah work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Centennial's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabelle Guinn, who had 13 digs and five assists. With that strong performance, Guinn is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Sophia Guinn, who had 14 digs and two aces.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 8-21. As for Borah, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-10.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Mountain View on the 18th. As for Borah, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Boise on the 18th.
