Softball Recap: Miller Comes Up Short

Miller was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Miller saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Campos, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Campos has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Miller and Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will both be playing Ray the next time they take the field. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will host Ray at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Miller will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on March 25th.
