Basketball Recap: Beardstown Victorious

Beardstown hadn't done well against Pittsfield recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tigers managed a 37-33 victory over the Saukees. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 60-38 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pittsfield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Megan Heffington, who posted eight points and seven boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. Torie Stambaugh was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.
