            Softball Preview: Easley Green Wave vs. Crescent Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Easley is 0-5 against Crescent since April of 2022 but things could change  on Thursday. Easley will look to defend their home field  against Crescent  at 6:00  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Easley took a eight-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Greenville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Easley came out on top in a nail-biter against Greenville on Tuesday, sneaking past  7-6. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Green Wave as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Jalyn McGee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the fewest  earned runs  she has allowed since back in May of 2024.

 On the hitting side,  Camora Little was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and one  triple. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.  Olivia Merck was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Crescent, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Daniel with a sharp  20-3 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by ten  runs or more  so far this season.
 Crescent's victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Easley, the  victory was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6.
