Basketball Recap: Teutopolis Victorious

Teutopolis posted their closest victory since February 15, 2024 on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the Civic Memorial Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Wooden Shoes: when they faced off against the Eagles last Monday, they had to take a 58-41 loss.

Teutopolis' victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Civic Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-4.

Teutopolis will square off against Effingham at 7:45 p.m. on January 31st. As for Civic Memorial, they will venture away from home to square off against Carlyle at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlyle is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.8 points per game this season.
