Soccer Recap: Danvers Comes Up Short

Danvers lost against Beverly on September 5th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons lost 5-0 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Danvers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Beverly are ranked first).

Danvers' defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Beverly, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Danvers will face off against Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Beverly, they will take on Masconomet Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Masconomet Regional will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Beverly surely won't give up without a fight.
