Basketball Recap: Copperas Cove's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Copperas Cove had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 55-51 victory over the Midway Panthers on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bulldawgs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 632nd, while the Panthers are ranked 231st).

Copperas Cove's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-17. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Midway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copperas Cove will face off against Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
