Football Recap: Victoria West Starts off Right with Win over Lockhart

Victoria West had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the Lockhart Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-6 win. With the Warriors ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Victoria West's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenesis Jeffries, who rushed for 116 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Boyce, who rushed for 94 yards and one score on only six carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Victoria West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 348 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
