The third road contest was the charm for Waterloo, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Midlakes Screaming Eagles on Friday, sneaking past 46-43. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Midlakes still got an impressive performance from Finnan Damann, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Damann is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jesse Bennett, who posted seven points in addition to six assists and three steals.

With the win, Waterloo broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Midlakes, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Waterloo and Midlakes will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Tigers see the court they'll take on Greece Odyssey at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Midlakes, their break will end when they face Red Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
