Baseball Game Preview: Odyssey Institute Minotaur vs. Fountain Hills Falcons

The Odyssey Institute Minotaur will square off against the Fountain Hills Falcons at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Odyssey Institute's tournament run continued when they took on Arizona Lutheran Academy on Thursday. Odyssey Institute came up short against Arizona Lutheran Academy, falling 9-3.

Odyssey Institute saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ezequiel Valenzuela, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Fountain Hills duked it out with Bourgade Catholic on Friday. Fountain Hills blew past Bourgade Catholic 15-5. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Odyssey Institute now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Fountain Hills, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Odyssey Institute came out on top in a nail-biter against Fountain Hills in their previous matchup back in May of 2021, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Odyssey Institute since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
