Basketball Game Preview: Iroquois Braves vs. Harbor Creek Huskies

Iroquois is 0-3 against Harbor Creek since January of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Iroquois Braves will host the Harbor Creek Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Iroquois was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Fairview. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while the Tigers are ranked 161st).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Roman Caporale, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cajohn Howard, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Harbor Creek lost to Girard at home by a 55-40 margin on Tuesday. The Huskies haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Iroquois' loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Harbor Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Iroquois came up short against Harbor Creek when the teams last played on January 7th, falling 65-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Harbor Creek's JT Delsandro, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points and eight assists. Now that Iroquois knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
