Soccer Game Preview: Cosby vs. James River Midlothian

The Cosby Titans will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the James River Midlothian Rapids at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. James River Midlothian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Cosby, who comes in off a win.

Cosby proved they can win big last Monday (they won by five) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a goal and slipped past Monacan 3-2.

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Monacan by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but James River Midlothian couldn't quite close it out.

Cosby came out on top in a nail-biter against James River Midlothian when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Cosby repeat their success, or does James River Midlothian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
