It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dixon can now relate to. They were beaten by the Northeast Guilford Rams 49-22 on Friday. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Dixon lost, don't look at JJ Gulat. Despite the final result, he rushed for 223 yards and three TDs. Gulat's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 18th straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.

JaQuez Crawford went supernova For Northeast Guilford., throwing for 265 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 36 yards and one score. Those 36 rushing yards gave Crawford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Elijiah Jones, who gained 211 total yards.

Dixon has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Northeast Guilford, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
