Basketball Recap: Edison Snags Ninth Win in Last 11 Games

Edison waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 56-43 victory over the Beaver Local Beavers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 67-43 back in December of 2024.

Edison has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Beaver Local, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Clairsville at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Beaver Local, they will square off against Brooke at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Beaver Local is facing Brooke at the right time seeing as Brooke is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
