Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chase County). They walked away with a 52-39 victory over the Wray Eagles on Thursday. This was payback for the Longhorns, who suffered a 32-25 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win got Chase County back to even at 2-2. As for Wray, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chase County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bridgeport at 3:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. After both having extra time off, Wray and Holyoke will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Wray is facing Holyoke at the right time seeing as Holyoke is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
