Basketball Recap: Warroad Takes a Loss

Warroad was the 77-67 winner over Thief River Falls when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warroad Warriors were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 62-61 to the Thief River Falls Prowlers.

Bridger Wilcox was his usual excellent self, en route to 29 points along with seven boards and four steals for Thief River Falls. The match was Wilcox's 14th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Everett Nelson, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Warroad's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Thief River Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Warroad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thief River Falls, they will face off against Perham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Perham will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Thief River Falls surely won't give up without a fight.
