Baseball Recap: Steele Knights vs. United South Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steele can now relate to. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the United South Panthers on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly three runs.
Andrew Tschoepe was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Cano, who got three hits from his three at bats.
This is the second loss in a row for Steele and nudges their season record down to 12-16-2. As for United South, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-6.
Steele does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for United South, they will square off against Los Fresnos on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3, the Falcons 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
